Matthew 5:7 God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” NLT)

Father – All the scriptures you showed me today deal with forgiveness and mercy. I am to overlook the harm others do me then forgive them and release them to You. Mercy is vital because it comes from love and You command us to forgive. They are all interconnected, aren’t they?

My Child – You are to look only to Me for guidance about your attitudes towards others. Everyone is unique and will do, say and think differently from you. That does not automatically make them bad or wrong.

You are called to love, not judge. When you notice a difference from your way of thinking and doing, ask Me for understanding and bless them by withholding criticism. I am the only judge of actions and character for I see the deep recesses of the heart.

Pray for them. Pray for yourself and your attitude towards them. Release ALL to Me for I am the only life changer. Bring everything to Me. Only I can handle it correctly. You be My prayer warrior for them and for yourself.

Be quick to cast, release, forgive and love. That is what life is all about. You bring Me honor when you remember I am the author and finisher of your faith. Stay close. These things will get clearer as you spend time with Me.

Mercy, Child. You are called to that today and every day. As you have been given, so do. Let’s go loving,

The Extraordinary Ordinary

Ezekiel 1:28 “All around him was a glowing halo, like a rainbow shining in the clouds on a rainy day. This is what the glory of the Lord looked like to me. When I saw it, I fell face down on the ground, and I heard someone’s voice speaking to me. (NLT)

Child – You have become complacent in My presence. Familiarity has not bred contempt, but it has resulted in a casual attitude toward the extraordinary privilege of having My Spirit living within you at all times. I have become commonplace to you and that weakens your sense of commitment and obedience.

Stir up the flames of worship and appreciation! Do not let your fire and zeal be quenched by everyday tasks. Nothing is ordinary with Me in it. And everything you experience has Me within you so it is anything but ordinary.

You live a God-infused life! Ask Me for a greater understanding of that fact. You are never on your own. The I AM is always with you, empowering you for everything you will face. Do not allow that joyful fact be diminished by the “every-dayness” of My presence.

I am with you and in you. I am all you need to handle both the large and the small situations you will encounter. Rejoice and be glad in Me. I am here and I love you with an everlasting love.

Our Scapegoat

Leviticus 16:7-10, 21-22 (NLT)

Child – Sin is serious, not just something trivial to be noted and glossed over. Sin is abhorrent to Me for I am holy. Due to Adam’s rebellion, no one born on earth is free from sin. This sin must be atoned for and so I set up the yearly sacrificial system to temporarily take care of people’s sins. The priest “made the people right with God” by shedding the blood of one goat. He then symbolically placed all the people’s sins on the other goat and drove it far away from the people into the wilderness.

Jesus was My perfect scapegoat. He was pure and without sin. As a holy blood sacrifice, He carried all the sins of everyone once and for all. If I considered sin lightly, no such sacrifice would have been necessary to cover your sins. Now and only now through your personal acceptance of this sacrifice are you made right and acceptable before My eyes.

The price for your sin has been paid! I covered it for you through Jesus’ substitution for your guilt. He bore it all. Without His sacrifice you would be unable to approach Me at all without the penalty of death. Think about that today. Because He died, you have been set free from sin. Because He lives, you can face tomorrow with full confidence all is well between us.

You can have peace with Me and through Me for all you face today through acceptance of this wondrous provision. I am the Way Maker and I love you. Hang onto that reality. The best is yet to come!
