1 Thessalonians 3:12 “And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow.” (NLT)
Father – My love and concern for others has grown cold and my focus has become “what about me?” Only You can restore love’s fervor in me. I don’t like being this way. It’s lonely! Please help!
Child – Notice what you admitted about your focus. Lately it’s been all about you and how you feel and what you want. You’ve not been spending time with Me. Your “love tank” is nearly empty and you correctly realize that only I can refill it.
Foolish child. I am love and only my love can fill you as you make room for it in your heart. When your heart is full of you, there’s not much room left for anything else. And without my love filling you, you cannot overflow to others. Remember, that is the goal.
Self blocks the overflow from your heart and you become stagnant. To remain fresh, you must be filled every morning. Aren’t you glad my mercies are new each day and my love is constantly flowing to you?
Open your heart. Get your eyes off yourself and appreciate Me as the Source of all your blessings. As gratitude grows, self will wane and my love will once again fill you.
So will you switch focus now or be content to stagnate a little longer? (Remember Pharaoh and the frogs.) As usual it’s your choice. I will provide all you need, but you must realize and accept your need. Don’t be stubborn!
Still really love you! Abba
